BGLOBAL WINS SCOTTISH and SOUTHERN ENERGY CONTRACT
Bglobal plc (AIM: BGBL), the leading smart metering and energy data services company, has been chosen to deliver meter and data services to Scottish and Southern Energy in a deal that will eventually see 24,000 of its largest monthly billed business customers benefiting from the latest smart metering technology.
The contract, which Bglobal won following a competitive tender, will include the delivery of electricity smart metering, remote data collection, meter operations and the provision of energy management software for Scottish and Southern's monthly billed customers. The energy company is planning a phased roll-out of the service to its customers, who will be among the first in the UK to benefit. Bglobal's end-to-end smart metering service include the supply and installation of the smart meter plus the meter reading, data collection and data analysis, using industry leading energy management software.
Tony Stiff, commercial director at Bglobal said: "An agreement of this scale with a company of Scottish and Southern's stature and reputation is an important milestone in the adoption of smart meter technology by high end corporate users. We have worked extremely hard to make sure we struck the right balance of technology and service which led to Scottish and Southern Energy selecting us. We're already pushing ahead with the first group of customers and looking forward to working closely with Scottish and Southern Energy to roll the service out to its wider business customer base."
